EFT tapping is a natural remedy based on ancient Chinese medicine.
About 4,000 years ago, the Chinese discovered that life energy flows through our bodies along pathways called “meridians.” When that energy is blocked or disrupted, you end up with emotions like fear, anxiety and rage, as well as physical pain.
Emotional stress can slow down healing and increase pain. You’ve probably experienced that in your own life.
Fortunately, ancient Chinese healers found that when you hold or tap on certain points along the meridians, you restore the flow of energy, reduce the emotional intensity, and allow healing to proceed.

You can use EFT tapping in combination with other types of home remedy for toothache on this site to deal with the causes of tooth pain on physical, emotional and energetic levels.
You can either tap along to the video with Kathy, or you can use the tapping “scripts” I’ve given you below. As you’ll see, there are three different choices – one for toothache anxiety, one for tooth pain, and one for fear of the dentist.
Just say the words while you tap - gently - on each of the meridian points. Start with the Karate Chop point on the side of the hand, then go to the Eyebrow point and continue with the points as listed in the script. Tap on each point for as long as it takes you to say the sentence.
Feel free to change some of the words or make up your own tapping scripts. The words below are just suggestions designed to keep you focussed on the issue.
If you feel like screaming, “I’m freaking out!” or “I can’t stand this &%^#! pain!” while you’re tapping, that’s fine, too. Use the words that work for you.
You don’t even need a script. You can just tap through all the points while you focus on the pain in your tooth, or how you feel about it.
Here’s your home remedy for toothache anxiety, using EFT tapping:
Karate Chop: Even though I have this scary pain in my tooth, I’ve decided to be calm and balanced.
Karate Chop: Even though this pain is making me anxious, I accept myself anyway.
Karate Chop: Even though I’m afraid this tooth pain means something bad, I’ve decided to be calm.
Eyebrow: This tooth pain is scaring me
Side of Eye: I’m afraid it means something bad
Under Eye: The pain makes me anxious
Under Nose: I’m afraid of the pain in my tooth
Chin: I’m worried about my tooth
Collar Bone: Will I have to go to the dentist?
Under Arm: Will I have to have a root canal?
Head: I’m nervous about what might happen.
Eyebrow: Is it an abscess?
Side of Eye: Do I need a filling?
Under Eye: Am I going to lose a tooth?
Under Nose: How much will it cost?
Chin: This pain is making me anxious.
Collar Bone: I feel anxious and scared.
Under Arm: I hate not knowing what will happen.
Head: What if I could feel calm about it?
Eyebrow: What if I don’t need to worry?
Side of Eye: I don’t like feeling anxious.
Under Eye: I’d rather feel calm and balanced.
Under Nose: I’m afraid this pain means something bad,
Chin: But I’m going to find out what it means.
Collar Bone: I can handle it.
Under Arm: My tooth may be sore but I am calm.
Head: I’ve decided to stay calm and balanced.
Repeat as needed. Then take a deep, relaxing breath, and let it out.
If you don’t want to say all the words above, just pick one phrase and repeat it at each point while you tap from Eyebrow to Head.
Try one of the following phrases or make up your own:
I’m really stressed
I feel anxious
This pain makes me anxious.
Then tap a final round from Eyebrow to Head, saying this:
I choose to feel calm no matter what.
Karate Chop: Even though my tooth hurts, I accept myself anyway
Karate Chop: Even though I have this pain in my mouth, I deeply and completely accept myself
Karate Chop: Even though it hurts, I’ve decided to be okay
Eyebrow: My tooth hurts
Side of Eye: I have this pain in my mouth
Under Eye: This terrible pain
Under Nose: It hurts
Chin: My tooth is throbbing
Collar Bone: This pain in my tooth
Under Arm: This pain
Head: I’ve decided to be okay
Repeat from Eyebrow to Head. Then take a deep breath and let it out.

Under Eye: That vacuum thing they use makes me gag.
Under Nose: All the poking and prodding in my mouth hurts.
Chin: My fists are clenched the whole time.
Collar Bone: I get so tense, I feel exhausted afterwards.
Under Arm: It’s such an ordeal.
Head: I hate that my mouth is sore for hours/days after the dentist.
Take a deep, refreshing breath and let it out. Now, tap in these positive options…
Eyebrow: What if it doesn’t have to be that way?
Side of Eye: What if I could relax in the dentist’s office?
Under Eye: No, that’s impossible.
Under Nose: But I choose to release my fear of the dentist,
Chin: I know that I’ll survive and be safe..
Collar Bone: My mouth heals quickly and easily.
Under Arm: I’m taking good care of my teeth because I want to.
Head: My body and mind quickly release trauma and I’m fine.
Remember to breathe. You can repeat this round of tapping, if you want.
When you do this tapping, you may find that an old memory surfaces. It might be about a dental experience, or something completely different but probably not pleasant. Tap on that memory because it’s very likely associated with your fear of the dentist.
